Psalm 122: 6-9
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“May they prosper who love you.7 Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.”8 For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be with you.”9 Because of the house of the Lord, our God I will seek your good.”
With the current situation on Temple Mount, I would ask you all to stand with us in prayer and mobilize prayer in your communities as we cover the Family in Jerusalem. To briefly explain the situation. There were three Muslim men who came in with a Mulsim tour and snuck in weapons into temple mount. They opened fire on a few Israeli police. As a result, the three men died and two police officers who were Druze had been shot and killed. Since security was an issue, metal detectors have been added to the enternce to the temple mount. Muslims were outraged. On one news channel, a Muslim man said, “If there are metal detectors, our prayers will not count.” Trying to use any avenue to try to remove security measures into the temple mount. The Muslims have declared war on the Temple Mount. They have canceled all Friday prayers in all the mosques in Jerusalem for today. And they are asking all the people to instead rally at the entrances of the dome of the rock to revolt. In these trying times, it is so important for the global family of God to rally in prayer for protection in a situation like this. The importance of praying and declaring Psalm 122 over Jerusalem will make all the difference. In the city of peace, my greatest prayer today is for its inhabitants of Jerusalem to come into the Revelation of who the Prince of Peace is; Jesus. It’s sobering as we watch and pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.
